About the book:
A carved wooden chimney sweep and porcelain shepherdess have grown fond of each other, when the shepherdess is told that she must marry a carved Sergeant Major and live in a box. The pair run away to avoid this fate, but return when the shepherdess is overwhelmed by the outside world. Things have changed in their absence; they are at last allowed to live happily ever after. The story is based on the 1845 original by Hans Christian Andersen.
